We flew the REDEYE (leaving DEN @ midnight, arriving in SJO at 5:00am), long flight! But this is the sunrise I captured upon our initial decent into Costa Rica!
This was MY view outside my hotel balcony! Postcard!
My fellow crewmember (Carol) and I decided to sleep for 1 HOUR! YES 1 HOUR, prior to starting a Day-Tour. The other crewmembers had already experienced Costa Rica, so we were on our own!! Go us! We decided on a tour put on by: Gray Line Costa Rica, the "Sarapiqui Canopy Tour". Worth the money (for you F9er's, if you're there, go!!) We were on so much adrenaline, we weren't tired till we got back at 5pm!! We had been up for nearly 22hours!! And today I'm feelin' it! The beauty in SJO is amazing!! If anyone were to deny the existence of God, I'd tell them to visit Costa Rica! Enjoy the photos!
The tour started 1.30hours (in some direction) of San Jose, Costa Rica. Locals there drive CRAZY!! I'm amazed we survived the drive! 2 small lane highways, 80miles per hour, dodging in/out of cars, semi-trucks buzzing the opposite direction and best of all, ahem, NO SEAT BELTS!! Ahh! Upon arrival, we headed down to the river for a Sarapiqui River Tour to the Canopy.

Since we at Frontier are: "A Whole Different Animal" here are the animals we saw along the way! The entire day was 5mins of rain, 10 off, all day long!! Take notice the photos of each!! Crazy weather!
Below is a Three Toed Sloth- highly nocturnal, lucky we spotted him!
Hello Mr. Iguana!
Can you see the monkeys up there? Big black things on the tree branches/trunks.
Don't get too close..Riiiight!! Thank God for the boat!
Isn't this beautiful? A butterfly being held upside down. It's called an "Owl Butterfly", hm, wonder why?? Owl perhaps!
See the beauty in these flowers!! Breathtaking!

Look what humidity & rain can do to a Denverite's hair!! Whoa the curls!
Back on shoreside, now it's time for the Canopy Tour! Getting harnessed up, horseback ride (yes Amy rode a horse!Terrifying!) to the Canopy and endless amounts of ZipLines! Can you tell, I'm concerned about the harness after a WAIVER I just signed!! :) LOL
Our tour guide, can't pronouce his name!!
You mean I've gotta climb that?? How many of these?? 10!! Oh dear!!
Group member Carmen freaking out on the line!! Woosh! The ground is no where to be seen!!! ahh!!
Don't look down!! Lot higher than it looks! That's like 30 feet tall of forest below!! Ahh!
Finally #10 to the ground below!! Oh boy!! It's Carol in the photo! She took some of me, when I get them I'll try to add them if they turned out alright...For now, you get the picture!
And back we go! And it's raining AGAIN! But so beautiful though!
Even the flight home was exciting! Even though it took us 5.40 minutes to get back to Denver, check this out! The pilots took a few photos for me, 1 of a volcano - though I haven't spotted it yet! Can you? Nonetheless, what a view!
The best part of the flight home was when I went into the flight deck t o let the pilots use the restroom, I had my camera! And we saw a FRONTIER jet (going to Cancun) buzz RIGHT OVER OUR HEAD, literally 1,000 feet above us in the opposite direction!!! THAT ROCKED! Amazing!! I stayed up there for a few minutes and captured these!! This one is a Continental jet below us going the opposite direction!
Ah nuts, missed it!! But this is what you see on the ground, THE TRACKS, look how close I was to them!! :)
ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WITHIN 35 HOURS AWAY FROM DENVER!! WHAT A TRIP! LOVED COSTA RICA! I GO BACK AT THE END OF MAY!
