Since, I've been back to work, and probably the most challenging thing on my plate (sarcastically) is keeping my little plant Lazarus alive. He must have 9 lives or something, because he has been through 2 of them already. I will be sure to update on his condition. (very blessed to have roommates to watch over him during my time away-thanks girls). Below is a photo of Lazarus!! (Got his name after life #1 was spent).
Getting back to work has been okay, lots of flying. Hard to go from flying zero hours to 95 hours in a short period of time. Physically, emotionally and spiritually, this could perhaps be one of my most challenging summers I can recall. God's been doing some interesting things in my life that requires ALL of me. (and I haven't liked it). But when God's in control and you're not, there isn't much we can do about it, right? right!I did have one of my most rewarding flights of my career last week. I was working a Denver to Spokane, where we took a a full flight out but 30 people or so were a part of a huge group going to Spokane for the Veteran Wheel Chair Games. (similar to a Special Olympic event). Though the flight was physically challenging, meaning the boarding and deplaning process exceeded the normal time limit, we had a medical situation occur during the flight and yet my heart was encouraged on how these folks live. It was one of the happiest groups I've ever met. Regardless of their story their situation, they have a love for life and the games. Very inspiring.
