4th of July in Austin

I was in Austin, TX for the 4th. We had a good time. It was relaxing and hot there! Whew! We got in around 2pm, and we went straight to the swimming pool. Our First Officer lives in Austin, so his wife (a former skywest flight attendant) met us at the hotel and brought goodies, picnic items and we had margaritas poolside, awaiting fireworks! Sadly NONE OF US made it to the fireworks. We had a 4:30am wakeup call this morning, and the fireworks started close to 10pm, so that was exhausting waiting and I couldn't make it!! But I heard them for the first our of sleep!! Grr!!! But it was a nice time, great to be on the ground versus flying in the skies on the 4th. My First Officer Robert, my friend/F9 f/a, and Robert's wife Sharri (former Skywest f/a) .
